कुलो नभएर दुखजिलो खेतीपाती । Kantipur Samachar

रामेछापको मन्थली नगरपालिका वडा नं-१ बारीखेतका किसानले प्रति घण्टा एक हजार रुपैयाँसम्म रकम तिरेर सिँचाइ गर्दै आएका छन् । नगरपालिकाले सडक खन्ने क्रममा कुलो बिगारिदिएपछि जेनरेटरबाट तामाकोसीको पानी तानेर चर्को शुल्कमा सिँचाइ गर्न बाध्य छन् ।
मन्थलीको बारीखेतमा रहेको सयौं रोपनी जग्गामा परम्परादेखी खेती गर्दै आएका रामेछापका किसानले दुई वर्षदेखि कुलोको अभावमा खेतमा सिंचाइ गर्न सकेका छैनन् । पैसा हुनेले एक घण्टाको एक हजार रुपैयाँ तिरेर जेनरेटरबाट पानी तानेर सिँचाइ गर्दै आएका छन् । तर पैसा नहुने किसानका खेत भने बाँझै हुन थालेका छन् । सिचाई पुर्वाधार बनाउनुको साटो किसानको खेतमा जाने भइरहेको कुलोसमेत नगरपालिकाले विकासका नाममा भत्काएर छाडेपछि जमिन बाझै छाड्न बाध्य भएको किसान बताउँछन् ।
स्थानिय सरकार आएपछि किसानले खेती गर्दै आएको जमिनमा सिंचाइ कुलो निर्माण हुने आशा गरेका थिए । तर भइरहेको कुलोसमेत मासिदिएपछि यहीाको उब्जनीबाट जीवन गुजार्दै आएका धान, मकै जस्ता अन्नको समस्या हुन थालेको बताउँछन् । मन्थली नगरपालिकाले भने उक्त फाँटलाई लक्षित गरी सिँचाइको नयाा योजना बनाउन थालेको जनाएको छ । भइराखेको कुलो मासेको नगरपालिकाको नयाँ सिँचाइ योजना अहिलेसम्म कागजमा मात्र सीमित हुादा किसान जमिन बााझो राखेर चामल किन्न बाध्य हुन थालेका छन् ।
एक लिटर डिजेलबाट एक घण्टा सिँचाइ हुन्छ, तर किसान एक घण्टाको जेनरेटर भाडा एक हजार रुपैयाँ तिर्न बाध्य छन् । आर्थिक अवस्था कमाजोर भएका किसानलाई यहाँ खेतीपाती गर्न निकै महँगो भइरहेको छ ।
त्यसैले विपन्न किसानलाई लक्षित गरेर नगरपालिकाले यहाा तत्काल सिाचाइ कुलो बनाइहाल्नुपर्ने देखिन्छ ।
